The good times kept on coming Sunday for former Cardinals relief ace Bruce Sutter, who was inducted into Baseball's Hall of Fame a couple of months ago. On a rainy Sunday at Busch Stadium, Sutter's No. 42 was retired, an act commemorated with Sutter's likeness displayed on the left-field wall.
From Sunday on, the retired 42 will be listed as Robinson/Sutter, with the original retirement of the number having been a baseball-wide testament to Brooklyn Dodgers Hall of Famer Jackie Robinson, the first African-American player in the major leagues.
