Come on sharky! It's a newwww game... When you got a guy like Pablo Sandoval, or Albert Pujols, or Mark Trumbo, or David Ortiz come up to the plate and hit a linear that's scorching 200MPH+ at you, you're going to wish you had 200+ pounds on you. and what do you mean shortstops rarely have power? Derek Jeter? 246 hr's. How about Troy Tulowitzki? He already has 140 homers in only 7 seasons.. not to mention he's 6'3 215. I agree that the stereotypical heigh/weight thing people put on shortstops is stupid and I hate it.. but that doesn't mean you can just go playing the position with no insurance on your body.

Then why did you say this?

Besides, I don't even know why I'm arguing with you when your favorite player is Brandon Crawford.

I'm done. I hope this kid proves you wrong and becomes the next A-Rod. Just without the whole steroids thing. I'm pretty sure there is a reason why he was the number one overall pick.

and still sucks ***.

this kid is 17 years old. I'm 100 percent sure he will add more "meat". Then you will be the one sucking his meat saying how good he is.

Astros Top pick Correa cracks first career hit

Quote:
In the first inning of his first game, the first pick in this year's Draft recorded his first hit as a pro, and then immediately proceeded to steal his first base.
It was, you might say, a day of firsts for Carlos Correa on Monday.
The Puerto-Rican born shortstop, who officially signed with Houston just days after the Astros tabbed him as the first overall selection in the 2012 Draft, went 1-for-5 with a walk in his professional debut as the Rookie-level Gulf Coast League Astros beat the Cardinals, 1-0, in 13 innings.
The 17-year-old graduated from the Puerto Rico Baseball Academy and High School on June 10. The Astros gave Correa, the first-ever No. 1 overall Draft pick from Puerto Rico, a $4.8 million signing bonus when he inked his deal with the team June 7.

Astros

According to MLB.com Prospect Watch Carlos Correa is listed as the number 2 prospect in the Astros organization
2012 Prospect Watch | MLB.com: Prospects

Quote:
Correa may have been a bit of a surprise as the No. 1 overall pick in the 2012 Draft, but the pick allowed the Astros to be very creative later in the Draft and many scouts across baseball felt Correa was one of the most talented players in the class. The product of the Puerto Rico Baseball Academy is an outstanding defensive shortstop, with above-average tools across the board – range, arm and actions. There’s no question he’ll be a shortstop at the highest level. But he’s far from all glove. Correa has the potential to be an above-average hitter with power. While not a burner, he’s a very good baserunner who is better underway. His makeup and work ethic is another reason the Astros felt comfortable making him the top pick. Correa signed very quickly and got a good amount of invaluable experience in the Gulf Coast League during his summer debut.

MLB.com's Prospect Watch has Gavin Cecchini listed as the Mets #5 prospect in their organization.
2012 Prospect Watch | MLB.com: Prospects

The experts have Correa and Cecchini in the top five of their respective organizations. Maybe they'll make it to the Majors in a few years or maybe they'll top out in the Minors; time will tell.
