The first $200M pitcher?

So I'm watching Clubhouse Confidential right now, and they are discussing price for pitchers.. Hernadez signed a $175 million contract, so now their arguing who will be the first pitcher to reach $200.. Justin Verlander, Clayton Kershaw, David Price, or others?

Personally, I don't think it's going to be Price.. maybbeee Kershaw.. but if anybody, I say Verlander.. but what are your thoughts?

Do think if it happened to be Verlander, the money could go to his head?

No. The man knows how to pitch no matter how much money he is getting.

I don't think any of them will end up with a $200M deal.

A 200 million dollar pitcher is inevitable. It's getting closer and closer every year. With the way contract's have skyrocketed in the last five years. Think of this: Verlander signed a five year extension in 2009 for five years 75 million. In three years front line starting pitching has nearly jumped a 100 million dollars. Now guys like Anibal Sanchez are getting what was front-line starter money now. There will be a 200 million dollar pitcher in the next five years.
