Jackson pretty much beats him out in offensive production. Better OBP and Slugging. Not to mention he had 8 RBIs less out of the lead off spot. Jackson will provide Gold Glove caliber defense and get on base at a high rate.
Scutaro's numbers look good because he was outstanding with the Giants. His numbers were decent with the Rockies. His defense is good, but he is getting a lot of praise now because of what he did in the playoffs.
I'd take Scutaro. He's not getting praise from the playoffs.. he's getting praised because of his amazing season with the Giants. Sure, you can compare their season stats, but the after the All-Star break, Scutaro blows Jackson away. Plus Scutaro has been red-hot.
Yeah, if you look at only HALF the numbers. You have to only look at half the numbers, because as a collective whole it's not even close. Scutaro did have a good second half but the biggest reason why his stock has risen is because of the playoffs.
You'd really take him over Jackson? Stop lying. Scutaro is old and Jackson is 25 and just getting into his best years. It's not even close how much i'd take Jackson over him. Now if you were comparing him to Omar Infante, i'd take Marco.
I'd take Scutaro over Jackson any day. He's hit a jackpot in his career.. age doesn't matter. I'm not saying he's going to be an MVP.. but he'll hit above .300 next season. He just seems different then he did when he was on the rockies.. more loose and happier.
