Tigers Anibal Sanchez asking price

Report: Anibal Sanchez's asking price at six years, $90 million; should Tigers bite? | Detroit Tigers | Detroit Free Press | freep.com

I saw this earlier on Bleacher Report when a story said he was asking for $90 million over six years. Now for another team he wants $100 million over seven years?

First of all, no athlete is worth anything close to that money.

Second, even though athletes do get paid such money, why should Anibal Sanchez get it? He pitched some nice ball during September and was nice three starts for the Tigers in the postseaosn but what has he truly accomplished besides that no-hitter in 2006?

I remember last year I thought how undeserving CJ Wilson was of such a big contract and yet I think Sanchez tops Wilson here.

I think Anibal should lower his asking price if he wants work in 2013.

If I am a GM, no way do actually offer him that much money.

Completely agree. Justin Verlander signed for 75 million. When you're asking for more money than Verlander got, you're nuts.
