MLB R.A. Dickey Predictions

There's big trade talk going on around the world of baseball about R.A. Dickey being sent somewhere elsewhere than New York.

I think the Mets are stupid.. Trading a Cy Young winner? :O

Where do you think he will end up? List the name of the team, and give a reason. Also include how much you think he will sign for, and what role he will take on. (Bullpen guy, 1st starter, 2nd starter, etc.)

I think this will be a fun thread.

It's not that dumb if you think about it. When will Dickey ever have a year like that again? Right now his value is SKY HIGH and he is only making five million next year. So he is affordable to any team and the Mets will get something really good for him.

So if you think about it, low cost player that any team can afford. Value is sky high so you will get something good in return. And the Mets are going to win next year, so they get something great in return for him they can build on and the next team has to hope he repeats again.

I think the Orioles, Dodgers, and maybe even Braves could go after him.

That's a great point actually. But what happens if this is his break out year? But I see what you're saying.. I think his best chance is the Dodgers. Maybe the Mets could get a load of cash back and some triple-A players or something like that.. I say the Dodgers give him no more than a 4 year deal.. around 10 million.
