Default Tigers acquire Miguel Cabrera (3rd) and Dontrlle Willis

Yep, they trade 6 prospects including Cameron Maybin, Andrew Miller (I really liked this guy), and Mike Rabelo (C). My question is did they really need a 3rd basemen? Inge is a beast in the field but I guess Cabrera is a beast at the plate????

Fantastic team you have.. must think Porcello could take over for Miller? Thats a hell of a lot to give up for basically one player IMO. I'm talking Cabrera.. We all know what Dontrelle is capable of but will he return to form? Cabrera is like my 2nd fav player in baseball so that's a awesome player you get but will it be worth it? More than likely.. not to mention adding Renteria this offseason.. wow

I'm just wondering.. could Porcello be one of the prosects? I'm sure he wasn't but if he was then it was a really good deal in the long run for the fish.

The other 3 prospects btw were Burke Badenhop, Eulogio de la Cruz, and Dallas Trahern

Wow, I am estatic. First Renteria, who almost won the NL batting title this year, then the D-Train, one of the most exciting pitchers in baseball, and now Cabrera on top of Granderson, Sheff, Mags, Carlos and Placido? Everyone else better watch out...

You want to know what I consider this? A repeat of tradeing John Smoltz away. It will help us short term but in the end Miller is going to be a top 3 pitcher in the MLB...

Porcello however, will not take over for Miller, at the beggining of the season that is. Maybe in the middle is someone gets hurt then he will probabally be in our rotation. It is ashame that the draft goes more so by how much you want than prospect talent. I wish it were more like the NFL. Well we got a steal getting Porcello anyways so why am I complaining?

I don't think the Tigers would have traded him. I was suprised they even got rid of Miller. IMO it will still be a good deal in the long run for the marlins.

Maybin is a great prospect but he didn't fit in Detroit b/c we have a top 3 center field in Granderson.

I agree except Sheff might be done after being named in the Mitchell report. D-train was one of my favorite pitchers when he was with the Marlins. World Series?
