Forgive Aaron Mayes if it was hard for him to concentrate on work Monday.
His beloved Detroit Tigers are in the World Series for the first time in 22 years. And Monday was Tiger Day at work, when employees could wear their team gear. His company even served hotdogs, popcorn, chips and Cracker Jack during lunch hour.
"I got on my full-fledged gear," said Mayes, a Detroit resident and a research and planning analyst at Health Alliance Plan in Detroit. "Morale is up and people are just excited."
