Sean Casey thought the big event of his day would be the scheduled closing on his house in Pittsburgh.
And it was a big event.
But not like getting traded from last place to first.
"I closed on a house, now I'm in Tampa with a new team," he said. "It's been a whirlwind day. I'm fired up about this, but so is my father-in-law, who's from Detroit."
When Casey arrived before the Tigers game Monday night against the Devil Rays, he was every bit as enthusiastic about the trade as he was when first informed about it.
