What are you reading thread
Sadly, the original one caught a virus or something, so it was deleted. So here is the new one. As you know, post what you have been currently reading, or books you've read and would suggest.

"Moneyball" - You've seen the movie, now read the book!
An interesting read, with more detail than the movie (naturally); however, I can't help but think of Brad Pitt whenever Billy Beane is mentioned!

Moneyball was a good movie on its own, but when looking at it as a baseball fan, it's disappointing that Oakland's big three starters (Hudson, Mulder & Zito),were barely even mentioned during the movie and they were a major part of Oakland's success that season. I guess non-baseball fans could appreciate the movie more than folks that actually were watching baseball.

I flew through "Moneyball", so now I'm reading "The Dark Fields", by Alan Glynn.
This is the book on which the movie "Limitless" was based. Despite knowing that everything will turn out alright in the end, I keep thinking that he's getting in too deep, too quickly! A well-written, fast-moving story.

I agree with you on that, I kept waiting and waiting for some mentioning of Zito, and it became annoying. The point I hated the most is that they make baseball look like a big gambling money machine.

The book has a different ending to the movie that's based on it. That's all I'll say!
