Jeff Brantley, the Reds' choice to be the third man in the Brennaman father-son booth, will fit right in, Marty Brennaman said Wednesday.

"I think he'll be outstanding," Brennaman said. "His work with ESPN puts him in a better position than any of the other guys who have been mentioned. He'll be ready for whatever's thrown at him."

Brantley, 43, is expected to join Marty Brennaman and Thom Brennaman as part of the Reds' primary radio team, according to two sources.
