White Sox GM Kenny Williams is looking "at every available option right now" as he tries to find a center fielder and leadoff hitter, the Daily Herald reported.
Neither Dewayne Wise or Jerry Owens has made a strong claim to the job, so Williams is probably close to making a deal, the newspaper added.
Williams has made trades in spring training before, most recently picking up Matt Thornton and Timo Perez. The newspaper said Juan Pierre of the Dodgers is not an option because Williams is not a big fan of his plus Pierre has a hefty contract.
