The White Sox have moved Alexei Ramirez to short to replace Orlando Cabrera, and they've been looking at Chris Getz, Jayson Nix, and Brent Lillibridge as well. The Boston Globe said Beckham, 22, stands out and is a favorite of manager Ozzie Guillen.

The main reason Beckham may not be there on Opening Day is because his arbitration clock would begin ticking sooner.
