The Sox offense was nearly completely shutdown in the final 2 games of the series vs. the Cubs. The only runs they've produced in their last 18 innings came on solo-back-to-back homers off of Maddux in Saturdays contest. That wasn't enough to even get a lead though, as Contreras gave up a grand slam in the first inning and did so before his pitch count had even reached double digits.
