Question Chicago Cubs .... or should that be White Sox

As a total Newbie (so be gentle with me) to this forum and baseball in general, I will predict that the Cubs will beat Florida Marlins on July 25th because I will be in the crowd rooting them on! Only my second game. My last (and first)game was Phoenix v's Marlins in 2005. I was rooting for Diamondbacks but on the night they lost. It seems ironic that my second game should feature the Marlins again - perhaps I should be rooting for them.

Would love to see games more often than every 3 years but it's too far to commute seeing as I'm across the pond as we say.

Without wishing to be too contentious, would I be better off going to see the White Sox while I'm in Chicago rather than the Cubs? (I'm standing well back waiting for the potential abuse that's sure to follow)

While I'm at it whats the difference between the American League and National League? Is one considered a higher level than the other? I ask because while it my seem obvious to all forum readers it isn't to me.

Three years ago you would have seen a better Chicago team by watching the Sox, but now it is definitely the Cubs.

I have season tickets for the Cubs, so I see plenty of their games.

The American League is considered to be the superior league, considering that they have dominated the All-Star game for some time, and also in the WS. Also, in the AL their is a DH (Designated hitter), and in the NL the pither hits.

I think the Cubs are a shoe in to win the central, I will decide after I see them play a real game

I see them winning the division easily.

The only team that I feel has a chance to hang with them is Milwaukee, and frankly I just don't think that they have the pitching to stay in the running with the Cubs going into the end of the season.

I think the Brewers will be a pain in the ass this year, They have an outstanding offense, but the Cubs will overpower them with pitching and defense

Hi everybody! (Hi Dr. Nick! Ha.)

I'm a transplant from Basketball Forum here to hopefully pump some life into this board as I know there's plenty of Cubs fans around.

I'm expecting a great season, and looking forward to seeing how Soto and Pie do as we hopefully repeat as division champions. I think we can definitely make some noise this year if we're healthy!
