Look for Ronny Cedeno to become the seventh different player to start at second base for the Cubs this season when they face Arizona tonight.
The Cubs traded Greg Maddux to Los Angeles for infielder Cesar Izturis on Monday and Izturis likely will take over at shortstop while the 23-year-old Cedeno moves from short — where he started 97 games this season — to second base.
"Izturis is a (2004) Gold Glove winner at short," Cubs manager Dusty Baker said. "Ronny is a great shortstop and has made tremendous progress, but he's not quite Izturis."
