Now that the Sox have won it all...whats next for this team?
Who will they resign?
They have already resigned Schilling, and picked up the options on Wakefield and Tavarez. Odds are because they resigned Wakefield, Mirabelli will be back as well, as he is Wakefield's "personal catcher". Look for them to resign Mike Lowell and Mike Timlin in the coming days as well.
Will there be any players to get from free agency?
If there is, it will be in a more ancillary role. Most of what they may gain from free agency will be bench players, as the everyday roster is pretty much set. Theoretically they could add AROD becuase they have the money, but he is a team cancer, and this would be a dumb move, and the sox front office hasn' made may of those recently.
Any consideration of sending players back in the Minors?
With six pitchers (and possibly Tavarez) vying for a 5 Man rotation, it will be interesting to see if phenom Clay Buchholz starts in the minors. Look for this to happen though, starting the season Beckett/DiceK/Schilling/Lester/Wakefield with Buchholz first up if someone falters or gets hurt.
Whats ur opinion on how the Sox will take charge in this upcoming offseason?
The question is who will be the starting centerfielder next season. If Coco Crisp is, look for Jacoby Ellsbury to start the season in AAA to get steady playing time. If it is Ellsbury, it will be interesting to see if the Red Sox attempt to trade Crisp, and what they can get for him.
