I'm a Yankee fan, and I wouldn't really want him to go back to the Socks. So that usually means for Boston fans that they should want Schilling back.

If it was my team, I would want him on the team next year, but maybe not having him as a key starting pitcher in the regular season. I would let him play a back seat to the younger starters that have come to shine this season, and save Schilling and his arm for where he truly shines: the playoffs.

Without a doubt. I think he's still got gas in the tank. I believe he could be useful for at least another season or two.

Well all the Schilling supporters got their wish. He signed an incentive laden deal with a base salary of $8 Million, which seems a fair deal to both the team and him. It can be worth as much as $14 Million if he hits all the incentives.
