Hansen to Ready for Bigs
FORT MYERS - From look-and-see, Craig Hansen has become wait-and-see.
The fact that Hansen is just not ready for the major leagues finally sunk in for both the Red Sox [team stats] and the young reliever, who was sent off to Triple-A Pawtucket yesterday.
You get the feeling that the next time Hansen appears for the major league team, it will be because this time he will be truly ready to pitch there.
The four appearances Hansen made in 2005 (6.00 ERA) as a just-drafted 21-year-old, the 38 games last season (6.63 ERA), as well as the five games this spring (15.43 ERA), reflected a player whose development was incomplete.
