Yeah this always happens. Manny will always be a Red Sox

i don't know about that. i wouldn't be surprised to see him sign elsewhere at the end of his contract.

hey, to each his own but i think that if the Sox aren't a real serious contender at the time then he will sign elsewhere. Or the Sox may have someone waiting in the wings and simply won't want to resign him.

I actually think this is somewhat possible since Seattle has been searching for a consistent long ball hitter since the days of Griffey and Arod...Although it's tough to see Seattle giving up such a marketing gem as Ichiro. The make alot of money from overseas on him. Ijust don't see Manny having near the marketing clout..

The Marineres would much rather resign Ichiro than take on Manny's contract. A trade like this really wouldn't make any sense at all.

it wont happen coz then we have to pitch to him haha. but ichiro's name will come up in a trade at some point this year because of his contract which ends at the end of the season
