If Crisp and the Red Sox only knew then what they know now, he never would have expended such ill-fated energy. For the 12th time in 13 tries, the Red Sox beat the Orioles last night, this time by the score of 6-5.
Crisp made a major contribution by driving in three runs in the victory, which, until Mike Timlin entered the game in the ninth, had that rubber-stamp-like feel to it, quite the oddity these days for the hard-luck and hapless Red Sox, who are getting closer to mathematical equation from the postseason by the day.
