SEATTLE - Manny Ramirez’ return to the lineup lasted exactly one game.
The Red Sox left fielder, who was 0-for-3 in Saturday night’s 4-3 loss to the Mariners, told manager Terry Francona yesterday he was unavailable for the series finale at Safeco Field because of his sore right knee. Ramirez has started only two games on this nine-game road trip and finished just one. He also appeared once as a pinch hitter and is hitless in six at-bats on the trip with a strikeout and an intentional walk.
