He averages around 200 hits per season.. so I say he reaches it in 2 more seasons (counting this season already over).

I am very surprised about these votes. You don't think Ichy will make it to 3k hits? On the rate he is going, he will reach it in less then 4 years.

If anything, I think his hit rate will increase at the Yankees; he will be inspired to produce even more than before.

Ichiro is a Free Agent, only the Yankees know if they are seriously going to resign him; maybe they'll retool after the way 2012 ended for them. His odds of reaching 3000 improve with the Yankees or another Offensive team.

Ichiro Suzuki needs less than 400 hits and at 38 is still getting about 180 hits per season which means he'll need a little over 2 more seasons to reach 3000... I'll be shocked if he doesn't make it...
