Orioles hit 3 homers in 6-5 win over Blue Jays
Quote:
TORONTO (AP)—The Baltimore Orioles are getting used to comeback wins this season. Even by their lofty standards, Friday night’s was special.
Melvin Mora, Kevin Millar and Adam Jones all homered in Baltimore’s six-run eighth inning and the Orioles beat the Toronto Blue Jays 6-5.
“It was an amazing game,” Mora said. “That’s the only thing I can say.”
It was the 13th time this season the Orioles have rallied to win after trailing by two or more runs, tying them with Philadelphia for the most in the major leagues.
“You give us a little bit of an opening and we’re going to take advantage of it,” Orioles manager Dave Trembley said. “The guys just believe they’re going to get it done.”
