Does anybody know why we traded him and some other prospects for Kris Benson, especially with Benson's history and the fact that Maine was such young potential talent i mean look at what he's doing now in New York with the Mets

I didn't even know he came from BALT, and if the deal was just for Benson that was a bad move, so far anyway.

I think the Mets either just got lucky, or had some excellent scouts out there that knew Maine would be this good. Quite frankly I didn't think he will be doing so well. I was mad as hell when the Mets traded Benson, basically because of his wife antics. LOL

i think it was just unfortunate for the Orioles that he became as good a player as he actually is because when it comes to scouts the orioles do have a pretty good team when it comes to finding young pitching that can develop into a potential number 1 or 2 starter

here in NY we look at it getting two pitchers since we also traded jorge julio for el duque.


Look at what maine and el duque are doing for the mets now and benson is shelved.


The mets also traded nady last yr for roberto hernandez and perez i would of taken oliver perez straight up for nady.


two good deals for omar which may pan out.
