Cal Ripken Jr. says he would consider purchasing the Orioles if owner Peter G. Angelos put the club up for sale.

"I think I could have value to a group, an ownership group," the former Orioles star said in an interview. "I like Mr. Angelos, and I don't know what's going to happen to his club, but if it were for sale, it would be interesting to explore."

yeah talks of this are starting to resurface and i hope that it comes to home buying the team because Angelos isn't going to do anything to improve the team anytime soon because he doesn't like to put out the money and evadently he's failed to realize that as an owner your job is to put the best team out on the field

I hope Cal does by the team because he's a former Oriole and he's always lived in this area, so he will really care about the team and try to improve them the best he can.

agreed IMO you need an owner who's from the area and knows what the people want and growing up and living here im sure he knows exactly what the people want and need out of an owner
