Were it not for the feel-good story unfolding in Washington, the Phillies would be the talk of baseball. True, the Phils are getting noticed for their extraordinary turnaround, but not sufficiently. Yet, as of this writing the Phillies boast at least three players who deserve to be named to the All-Star team, Bobby Abreu, Pat Burrell and Brett Myers, and another whose time is coming, Chase Utley.
