I wish this were my last word on the steroids controversy but I know better.
As I have often written, steroids or other supplements do not help hand-eye coordination as far as anyone has been able to determine, but all agree they do increase body mass and strength. The majority of home runs result from a combination of hand-eye coordination and strength. Ergo, steroids almost certainly contribute to an increase in home runs.
