Default Braves trade Langerhans

The Braves made a suprising move Sunday trading Ryan Langerhans to the Oakland A's.
surprisingly enough they didn't get any players in return.
Instead they got cash and a player to be named later.
The A's Have been looking for a starting outfielder since Mark Kotsay went down with a back injury early in the spring.
Langerhans reacted in the clubhouse after the game Sunday: "It caught me off guard," Langerhans said. "I'm looking forward to going out there and playing. I'm not really sure about a lot of the details at this point. It's a little sad. I came up with a lot of these guys. They have been good to me here. It being the first time is what makes it shocking."
The Braves will bring up Willie Harris from Richmond.
"Willie can play anywhere," Cox said. "He has been on fire, and he looked terrific all spring. I'm not sure what I'm going to do yet."

Langerhans was hitting under .100 but he has a huge upside.
I wonder if he turns out to be a great player
will people be saying 'good move'?
I remember one year Andruw Jones struggled
like that to start the season.
I bet every Braves Fan is glad they didn't give up on him.

Wow.

I didn't even notice this. Shame too as Langerhans was a pretty decent OF, I've seen better of course but he was doing fine. Not much room anyways considerng Kelly Johnson but um, I thought they could have at least gotten a player in exchange at the least from the A's.

Remember Kelly Johnson is now at 2nd base.

Did anyone see the game the day after Langerhans was traded?
There are some guys who dress up in giant hands that say 'Langer's-hands' on 'em. Well, the day after he was traded they were wearing em and had 'for sale' signs on em. That was so darn funny! They had thier heads hung low. ha ha! And does anyone know if those are the same guys now dressing in a paint tux and calling them selves 'Chipper's chippendales' ???

Yes it is true Ryan Langerhans had been traded to Washington for Chris Snelling. Ryan went 0-4 and made an error in his two games for the A's Against Boston. "You've just gotta laugh," Langerhans said. "I've never seen anything like it. I've enjoyed my time here."
