The D-backs are banged up and bruised heading into their opener with New York. But they are also winning.
Arizona's series win over Philadelphia, was its second consecutive after sweeping Houston. The wins have come, despite Stephen Drew being held out of the lineup with a twisted ankle, despite Chad Tracy still recovering from sore ribs and with Chris Young easing his way back in with a sore groin.

Brandon Webb is expected to start against the Mets despite sustaining a bruised forearm from a line drive on Saturday. Webb earned the win against the Astros anyway, tossing seven innings and allowing two runs while striking out eight.

Webb lost his only start vs. the Mets this season, on May 5, giving up five runs over six innings.

Mets starter John Maine took a step in his last start toward returning to his early season form. He had given up 11 earned runs in his previous three starts before holding the Marlins to two runs over six innings of a 7-2 victory.

He didn't earn a decision his first outing against the Phillies this season, going 4 2/3 innings and allowing two runs on five hits.
