PHOENIX -- The Arizona Diamondbacks are now casting for men and women to participate in an entertainment crew to appear before and during D-backs home games at Chase Field in 2007, as well as to make appearances in the community and at corporate functions.
"This entertainment crew is a unique opportunity to join our team and play a part in our in-game experience," said Rob Weinheimer, the D-backs Director, Game Operations. "We are already very active throughout the community with our 'Bobby and Baxter Show' with D. Baxter the Bobcat and Bobby Freeman, but this entertainment crew will allow us to reach more people in the community as well as enhance our fan experience at the ballpark."
Individuals 18 years or older who are energetic, articulate, personable and represent the ideals that the D-backs portray in the community can send a video (maximum three minutes in length) in VHS, Mini DV or DVD format explaining why they want to be a member of the D-backs entertainment crew. All video applications should also include the person's name, address, phone number and email address and be postmarked no later than March 1, 2007 to the following address:
D-Backs Entertainment Crew
P.O. Box 2095
Phoenix, AZ 85004
The D-backs will also be holding live auditions for individuals to become members of the entertainment crew at the team's annual Fan Fest on Saturday, Feb. 24 at the Chase Field Plaza. The audition booth will be located next to the Slider's stage on the north side of the plaza.
