The Diamondbacks began interviewing candidates for the vacancies on manager Bob Melvin's staff Monday when they met with Rick Schu and Chris Speier.
The club needs a hitting coach, bench coach and third base coach, although Chip Hale, who managed Triple-A Tucson last season, will be the bench coach or third base coach.
Schu interviewed for the hitting coach position. He has spent the past nine seasons in the organization, the past two as minor league hitting coordinator. He was the major league hitting coach in 2004.
