If the Diamondbacks are planning anything special for Luis Gonzalez's going-away party, they might want to consider doing a little something for Craig Counsell, too.
The veteran infielder met with General Manager Josh Byrnes on Friday and although the team expressed an interest in possibly bringing him back next year as a utility player, Counsell said thanks, but no thanks.
"I said I'm probably not interested in that," Counsell said before Saturday's game. "They said I'd probably have better offers than that, too."
