Phil Hughes handcuffed the Jays early, retiring the first nine batters. The Yanks erased a two-run deficit in the sixth, with Johnny Damon scoring on a wild pitch and Jason Giambi plating Derek Jeter with a sac fly. Bobby Abreu knocked in the winning run in the eighth.
