I think it depends on how many championships you want to win between now and 2012 when Beckett and Santana start the mid-30's decline. Santana, Beckett, Dice-K, Buccholz, and any 2 schmucks you can throw in there will win any 5 game series and have a very good chance of a 7 game series too. Not to mention the backing of an offense that can knock 5 runs out at a clip before an out is recorded. I think Ellsbury is the real deal and will be a superstar wherever he ends up. The other 3 I don't know enough about, but you can think short team and win the next 4 of 6 championships (give or take) or you can invest in the future once Manny and Varitek retire, they find a way to dump the waste of money Drew, and need a replacement for Lugo which Ellsbury and Lowrie are projected to do.
Bottom line, I hope the trade never happens because I'm a die-hard Yankees fan and would hate the thought of that happening. :P
