Villanova University is currently hosting an online auction benefiting the University's Block V Club that includes an Optimum Lightpath Luxury Suite package for a 2008 Long Island Ducks game at Citibank Park. Other items on the block include a luxury suite for a 2008 Camden Riversharks game at Campbell's Field and a baseball autographed by Yankees legends, including Phil Rizzuto, Whitey Ford and Yogi Berra.
The Ducks Optimum Lightpath Luxury Suite package (donated by the QuackerJack Foundation) has a value of over $1,400 and includes 16 tickets in the owner's skybox for a Ducks game during the 2008 season. Also included are a $200 food credit, one case of soda, one case of beer, one bottle of red and one bottle of white wine, the opportunity to throw out the first pitch, your name on the scoreboard, an autographed team baseball and a meet and greet with Bud Harrelson (date to be mutually agreed upon -- excludes Opening Day and Fourth of July). Ducks principal owner and Atlantic League CEO Frank Boulton, a Villanova alum, has also placed a baseball on the block signed by several legendary members of the New York Yankees. The ball is a very rare item including the signatures of such Yankee greats as Phil Rizzuto, Whitey Ford, Yogi Berra, Moose Skowron, Bobby Murcer and Rick Cerone.
