Default Canadian American League

Atlantic City, N.J. - The Atlantic City Surf announced today their schedule for the 2008 Canadian-American League season. The 94-game slate features 53 home games, and debuts with the Surf at Brockton on May 22.

The Surf's home opener is scheduled for Monday, May 26 against the Sussex Skyhawks, the first of a seven-game stretch at Bernie Robbins Stadium. Opening Night will also feature a Memorial Day fireworks show.

The schedule is once again split into two halves, with the second half starting on July 14. Fireworks shows are also scheduled for July 3 and 4, when the Surf face the Grays and New Jersey, respectively. Atlantic City's final regular-season game takes place on September 1, when the Surf host Sussex.

There will be two best-of-five playoff series starting September 3, with the winners of each half meeting the two teams with the next-best overall records.

"With our schedule released, the season is now in sight," Surf president Chris Carminucci said. "We're working hard towards having a memorable 2008 season."

The Surf, Brockton Rox, Grays (traveling team), Nashua Pride, New Jersey Jackals, Quebec Capitales, Sussex Skyhawks and Worcester Tornadoes will all return, making the Can-Am an eight-team loop for 2008.
