Default Miguel Cabrera Trade Rumors

ESPN's Peter Gammons says according to his sources, the Florida Marlins will shop third baseman Miguel Cabrera this off-season. Rotoworld believes the Marlins thinking is that with so many teams (including Boston and the Yankees) in need of a third baseman, the value is highest now.

However, "The problem is that, with his weight up, Cabrera's defense has gone from mediocre to truly bad, and he'd make more sense as a first baseman right now. Both the Yankees and Red Sox have possibilities there as well, but they might not be willing to surrender as much talent to fill a hole that is easier plugged."

So I wonder just how big the offers for Cabrera may be. Definitely better than any package offered for Willis.
