Tiger Stadium's Last Game
Hi there fellow Tigers fans!!!
I grew up in Warren and spent MANY afternoons at The Corner in the late 50's and '60's watching my beloved Tigers (my idols were Colavito and Kaline!)
I have lived in the Cleveland area (I KNOW, I KNOW!!!) for the last 25 years, like Jacob's Field but it's not Tiger Stadium.
Was the last game at The Corner televised,and if so, does anyone have a copy of it that I could buy or trade for? I have a 6-hour tape of the last game at Cleveland Municipal Stadium in 1993 if anyone is interested.
I already have the tape, "Michigan and Trumbull" that's narrated by Ernie Harwell, but I'd like to see the entire last game and the post game ceremonies.
Let's hope the Detroit City Council wake up and realize that there are millions of us that want to keep the old lady at Michigan and Trumbull.
