Default My Second Braves Experience

Well, I got back from Atlanta yesterday after witnessing two Atlanta Braves games. I've seen them play at Turner Field now four times (two in '99 and two in '07) so it had been a while since I was there. Of course, the park hasn't changed much, other than the scoreboard in right field no longer being used as a hand operated scoreboard and some other small things. I don't remember there being the "Heavy Hitters" as they are called, which is a band and I don't remember the big drum from back then.

But anyways, I went to the game Wednesday afternoon and it was hot. I think it was about 95 degrees out there in the middle of the day, so I'm never going back to another day game again anywhere. It was an enjoyable game, the Braves didn't win as they lost 7-4 due to a huge outburst by the Marlins. I met a young pitcher and got his autograph, Taylor Tankersley, and apparently, he is being projected to be a top candidate for the Marlins future closer.

And then I went to Thursday's game which I enjoyed the most. First thing we walked in and we went to LF for batting practice, a ball was hit our way and bounced way up into the stands. My mom ran and got it and she gave it to me, so I went down to where the Cubs were throwing (the Braves were doing BP and were about to go in after that) but I got two autographs from Bob Howry and Ryan Dempster. Dempster, coincidentally, was a Starting Pitcher back in '99 for the Marlins and I saw him pitch at my first game ever at Turner Field. So that was kinda neat and he pitched that night too and got the save. But anyways, they ended up losing that game too.

On a side note, out of all the four games I've attented at Turner, they have lost all four.

I had fun being back at Turner Field and of course, things change over time but Turner hasn't changed too much. I know the span between '99 and '07 is different but when I first went to Turner, I was only 8 so I can't remember too much. Anyways, just thought I'd share this with everybody.
