Brian Barden went 4-for-5 with two triples, while Josh Phelps and Jarrett Hoffpauir each homered to power the visiting Redbirds to a 7-2 victory over the Tucson Sidewinders.

Springfield Cardinals (Texas League)
Steve Hill homered and Shane Robinson and Mark Shorey rapped out two hits apiece, but the visiting Cardinals were beaten by the Northwest Arkansas Naturals, 10-2. Former first-round pick Adam Ottavino fell to 0-4 after allowing five runs -- two earned -- on six hits in 2 1/3 innings for Springfield.
