Jason Bay went 3-for-4 with an RBI and a run scored while Ryan Doumit drove in a pair of runs for the Pirates, who have won three straight and four of six. Paul Maholm started on the mound and gave up four runs on six hits in six innings of work. Franquelis Osoria (2-1) got the win for pitching one inning of scoreless relief. Yunel Escobar went 2-for-4 with a walk and three runs scored while Greg Norton drove in two for the Braves, who have won six straight on the heels of a four-game losing streak. Jo-Jo Reyes started on the mound for Atlanta, but left in the third inning with a blister on the index finger of his left hand. He gave up two runs -- one earned -- on five hits in 2 2/3 innings of work. Buddy Carlyle then took the mound in place of Reyes, but left in the fifth after colliding with Kevin Kouzmanoff. Carlyle have up one run on one hit with a walk in two innings of work. Manny Acosta (1-1) got the win for getting the final out of the ninth inning. Adrian Gonzalez went 3-for-5 with a run scored and Kouzmanoff drove in a pair of runs for the Padres, who have dropped four straight and six of seven overall. Starter Wilfredo Ledezma gave up one unearned-run on two hits in four innings of work. Joe Thatcher (0-4) got the loss for giving up the winning run.

Garrett Atkins and Chris Iannetta each drove in a pair of runs as Colorado salvaged a split with a 9-3 win over St. Louis in the finale of a four-game set from Coors Field. Matt Holliday added four hits and scored three times for the Rockies, who have won three of their last five. Omar Quintanilla collected three hits and scored two runs, while Todd Helton, Ryan Spilborghs and Clint Barmes knocked in a run each. Starter Jorge De La Rosa (1-1) allowed five hits and two runs over 5 2/3 innings, striking out five with one walk, to notch the win for Colorado. Ryan Ludwick homered twice and Yadier Molina added an RBI for the Cardinals, who dropped the final two games of the set. St. Louis hurler Kyle Lohse (3-2) was tagged in the loss for eight hits and seven runs with five walks and four strikeouts in four innings of work.
