Cristian Guzman drove in six runs, including a three-run double in the sixth inning, as the Washington Nationals clipped the Pittsburgh Pirates, 9-8, in the third of a four-game series at Nationals Park. Starter Matt Chico gave up five runs -- four earned -- on eight hits in 4 1/3 innings for Washington, which has won five of its last six contests. Jesus Colome (1-1) allowed one hit over 1 2/3 scoreless frames to pick up the win. Guzman finished 4-for-6 at the plate and scored two runs, while Austin Kearns was 2-for-3 with two walks and a run batted in. Paul Maholm (2-3), coming off his third career complete game, struggled on the mound, surrendering seven runs on 10 hits in five-plus innings for the Pirates, who have dropped two of their last three outings. Ted Lilly (2-4) got the win as he went seven strong innings while only giving up three runs on six hits. Carlos Marmol threw two innings of perfect relief, although it was not a save situation. Yadier Molina and Albert Pujols each slugged a solo home run for the Cardinals, who saw their three-game win streak halted. Ryan Ludwick accounted for the other RBI. Kyle Lohse (3-1) was dealt the loss after he was knocked around for eight runs on nine hits in six-plus innings on the hill.

Augie Ojeda went 3-for-4 with a pair of doubles and a career-high six RBI, and Brandon Webb became the first seven- game winner in the majors this season, as Arizona used a late rally to roll over the New York Mets, 10-4, at Chase Field. Justin Upton had two hits, three walks, an RBI and scored three times, while Stephen Drew, Chris Young, Conor Jackson and Chris Snyder each collected two hits for the Diamondbacks, who pounded out 15 overall. Webb (7-0), who earlier Saturday was named the National League pitcher of the month for April, picked up the win after giving up four runs on five hits in six innings of work. Mike Pelfrey (2-2) allowed five runs on nine hits and four walks in five frames, and took the loss. Duaner Sanchez got just one out and gave up five runs in a disastrous eighth inning for New York, which has lost two of three. Carlos Delgado hit a three-run homer, while Ryan Church had two hits and Carlos Beltran scored twice.

Jeff Keppinger had two of Cincinnati's four hits. Brandon Phillips knocked in the lone run for the Reds, who lost 2-0 on Friday, have dropped three in a row. Matt Belisle (1-2) was charged with eight hits and two runs over 5 1/3 innings to suffer the defeat.

Jorge De La Rosa (0-1) was shelled in his first start since being acquired from Kansas City on Wednesday. De La Rosa allowed nine runs on nine hits in four-plus innings, while Jason Grilli was tagged for two runs in an inning-plus of relief.
