Final Score: Tampa Bay 4, Baltimore 2

Carl Crawford's two-run single in the seventh proved to be the game-winner as the Tampa Bay Rays doubled up the Baltimore Orioles, 4-2, in the conclusion of a three-game set at Camden Yards. Crawford finished 2-for-4 with a run scored while Carlos Pena drove in a run and Jonny Gomes hit a solo home run for the Rays, who have won two straight and eight of their last nine games. Matt Garza (1-0) got the win as he gave up just two runs on three hits with two walks and three strikeouts in six innings of work. Tampa Bay closer Troy Percival picked up save No. 330 in his career, which ties him for 10th place on the all-time list with John Wetteland Adam Jones hit a two-run home run while Brian Burres (3-2) suffered the loss for giving up four runs on six hits with three walks and six strikeouts in six-plus innings of work for the Orioles, who have dropped four of their last five games.

Final Score: Texas 2, Kansas City 1

Sidney Ponson pitched eight strong innings for the Texas Rangers and got some timely hitting on home runs from Ian Kinsler and Ramon Vazquez in outdueling the Kansas City Royals and Zack Greinke for a 2-1 win at Rangers Ballpark. Ponson (1-0) gave up just one run on six hits, walking two with five strikeouts in just his second start of the season. Vazquez and Kinsler backed Ponson with solo home runs for Texas, which has won four of its last six games on the heels of a seven-game losing streak. Greinke (3-1) was equally impressive allowing only two solo home runs and four hits with no walks and a season-high nine strikeouts in seven innings but the Royals bats abandoned the righthander and saddled him with his first loss of the year. Their lone run came on a Mark Grudzielanek's two-out RBI single in the third. Kansas City has dropped three of its last four.

Final Score: Cleveland 3, Seattle 2 (11 innings)

Asdrubal Cabrera's two-out RBI single broke an 11th-inning tie and gave the Cleveland Indians a 3-2 victory over the Seattle Mariners in the rubber match of their three-game series. Masahide Kobayashi (2-0) got the win for Cleveland, which has prevailed in two straight, despite allowing the go-ahead homer in the 10th by serving up Richie Sexson's 300th career home run. Travis Hafner and Ryan Garko each went 2- for-4, with Hafner totaling two doubles and a run batted in. Grady Sizemore drove in the other Indians run with a bases-loaded 10th-inning walk. Rafael Betancourt, who allowed three runs in just a third of an inning during Tuesday's series-opening loss, blew a save by yielding the tying run in the ninth. That wasted a sparkling effort from starter Paul Byrd, who held the Mariners scoreless over 7 2/3 innings, allowing just four hits while striking out four. Mark Lowe (1-2) took the loss and J.J. Putz blew his second save of the season in the 10th after Sexson had given Seattle a 2-1 lead. Ichiro Suzuki went 3- for-5 and single-handedly manufactured the tying run in the ninth, while M's starter Miguel Batista tossed seven solid innings, allowing just a run on four hits and fanning six.

Three Tigers relievers held New York off the board over the final 3 1/3 frames. Bobby Abreu clubbed a three-run homer for the Yankees, who have dropped six of eight. Shelley Duncan drove in the other New York run, while Derek Jeter picked up a pair of hits and scored twice. Jonathan Albaladejo (0-1) took the loss after allowing four runs on six hits in 1 2/3 innings in relief of Ian Kennedy, who surrendered four runs on five hits over his 4 2/3 inning start.

Final Score: Toronto 3, Boston 0

A.J. Burnett scattered three hits over 7 2/3 shutout innings as Toronto topped Boston, 3-0, in the final contest of a three-game set from Fenway Park. Burnett (3-2) fanned five but walked five to record his second victory in three starts. Alex Rios finished 3-for-5 with a home run and two runs scored for the Blue Jays, who salvaged a game in the series and won for just the second time in their last 10 games. David Ortiz had a pair of hits for the Red Sox, whose two-game win streak was halted. Boston has dropped six of its last eight. Tim Wakefield (2-1) allowed six hits and three runs over seven innings in defeat, walking four without recording a strikeout.

Final Score: Oakland 15, LA Angels of Anaheim 8

Jack Cust homered among his career-high four hits and scored three times, and Oakland had a season-high 20 hits in a 15-8 rout of the Angels. Kurt Suzuki, Daric Barton, Frank Thomas, Bobby Crosby and Ryan Sweeney each had two RBI for the A's, who split the four-game series and did it with incredible firepower in the opening and closing contests. They won the first game, 14-2, and then proceeded to score a total of one run in losing the next two before piling it on their AL West rival in Thursday's game. Emil Brown tied his career-high with four hits, drove in a run and scored twice in the victory. Oakland sent nine men to the plate in the second inning and batted around while scoring eight times in the fifth to take the lead for good. Justin Duchscherer (2-1) was charged with six hits and six runs -- one earned -- over five innings to get the win for the A's. He's 6-0 lifetime against the Angels. The trio of Nick Adenhart, Dustin Moseley and Darren O'Day were shelled for the Angels. Adenhart, making his first major league appearance, walked five batters, including four in a row during the second inning, and was lifted after allowing three hits and five runs in two-plus frames. Moseley (1-3) was pounded for seven hits and five runs in two frames, and O'Day was drilled for four hits and four runs while recording just two outs in the fifth. Erick Aybar clubbed a three-run homer for Los Angeles, and Mike Napoli added a solo shot.
