Jacoby Ellsbury had his first career two-home run game, and scored the winning run on Dustin Pedroia's eighth-inning double as the red-hot Red Sox pulled out a 7-6 win over the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim in the opener of a three-game set at Fenway Park. Ellsbury went 3- for-5 with three runs scored for the Red Sox, who have won six straight and 10 of 11 overall. Pedroia went 4-for-5 with three doubles, a run scored and a run batted in, while Kevin Youkilis added a two-run homer. Mike Timlin (2-1) only had to record one out in the eighth inning to earn the win, while Jonathan Papelbon worked a scoreless ninth for his eighth save. Scheduled starter Josh Beckett was a late scratch with a sore neck, and David Pauley was called up from Triple-A Pawtucket to start in his place. Mark Teahen's eighth-inning single provided the sole run for Kansas City.
