I'm sure Brad Penny will be fine - let's not forget that the Padres also have a solid, underrated offense. The Pirates offense is not nearly as strong as their's.

I'm, personally, chalking Saito's blown save up as a setback - in his four prior appearances he did not allow a single baserunner, striking out four. Broxton has the tools to close, but I love the combination of Broxton-Saito far too much for it to dissolve anytime soon.

I feel that the team will start to hit its stride soon. They've run into Peavy, Lincecum, Cain, and a few other brilliant pitchers thus far, and have had injuries and minor slumps throughout. Once Martin hits his stride, the offense will be fine - and Andruw Jones, if he can hit .250 plus the rest of the way, will make it even better.
